
Jennifer always longed to be an multi-tasking star. When she was a kid she enjoyed all kinds of genres in music, including Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and bachata, and mainstream music , like pop, hip-hop and R&B. Though she loved films, music also intrigued her. Her biggest influence was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer is also an entertainer as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended 8 years of Holy Family Catholic elementary school located in The Bronx. After completing the four-year course at the school, she was able to graduate from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. Jennifer, a talented athlete who was a part of track and fields and tennis in school, was an outstanding student. At Castle Hill, she spent her early years in a two-story house. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. In the meantime, Lopez worked at a law firm while she took dance jobs in the evening.
