Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was an exceptional child. However, for a child of Irish background, surrounded by talented parents and family, those were not innate traits. Maureen arrived in this nurturing haven, August 17, 1920. Her family was her parents as well as family members. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is her mom. She was an accomplished contralto. The father of her, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin as well as owned a part of the renowned Irish soccer team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons is the 2nd daughter of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this wonderful family. Maureen was a natural athlete and was a fan of tough sporting games. Furthermore her talent, she also had a knack acting. This was demonstrated by her winning pretty much every Feis award for drama and performances in the theater that her nation offered. By age 14 she was accepted to the prestigious Abbey Theater and pursued her dreams of classical theatre along with operatic music.
