Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her twin brothers. McCormick was a gifted entertainer and singer at a young age. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets to entertain her friends. Her rise to fame as a fairytale started when she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 which led to a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick was hired to star in her first major performance in 1964 on an tv commercial featuring Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical Wind It up and It Breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1,200 youngsters to be the oldest of the three twins in The Brady Bunch TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show she almost lost their virginity to sister Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. She said that it would have been feasible, but we never had the right time to do it.
