Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. However she left prior to the group's appearance to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she was singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British pop group. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo first album Diva. The album was released in 1993. It became a huge hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to her art work created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish politician and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when she achieved minor fame as the lead singer of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo music career in 1992 with an album titled Diva. It included a number of well-known songs, including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and the song Why. Medusa the 1995 studio album that features the cover versions of some popular tracks like No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums by her solo as well as a compilation album are the result of her efforts. |
